IBAI Approved AI Consultant Membership

The IBAI Approved AI Consultant membership is designed for professionals who advise on, implement, or support the use of artificial intelligence in business, education, or professional environments and wish to be verified and featured in the IBAI Global Member Directory. This membership provides visibility and professional recognition for qualified AI professionals while maintaining clear boundaries between accreditation, affiliation, and advisory status.

Ways to Join

 1. Automatic Approval (Accredited Institutions & Trainers)

Professionals affiliated with an IBAI-Accredited training institution or IBAI-Approved trainer receive automatic membership approval and directory listing as part of their accreditation status.

• No separate application or fee is required.

• Directory inclusion is granted upon successful accreditation approval.

2. Independent Application (Non-Members)

Professionals who are not affiliated with an IBAI-Accredited institution or trainer may apply through an independent review process.  Non-member applicants must:

• Submit proof of recognized AI certification or documented professional AI experience

• Provide evidence of active AI consulting, advisory, training, or implementation work

• Review and acknowledge IBAI’s 5-minute Ethics & Responsible AI onboarding video

• Agree to IBAI professional and ethical standards

• Pay the $249 annual membership application fee

Applications are reviewed to confirm professional credibility, responsible AI practice, and alignment with IBAI standards.

Affiliate Status & Directory Listing

Professionals approved through the independent application pathway are listed in the IBAI Global Member Directory as IBAI Affiliates.  Affiliate status:

​

• Provides public visibility and professional recognition

• Does not confer Accredited Training Provider (ATP) status

• Does not authorize use of IBAI accreditation seals, marks, or claims of formal accreditation

​

Affiliates may apply separately for institution or trainer accreditation if they wish to obtain ATP status and formal accreditation authority.

All approved members are featured in the IBAI Global Member Directory, allowing organizations, employers, and institutions to identify AI professionals who have met IBAI’s verification and governance-aligned criteria.
