When training is positioned as a program or certification, expectations are higher, and so are the standards. IBAI Course/ Program Accreditation is designed for structured educational programs, including courses, certification pathways, and multi-session training programs that reference or involve artificial intelligence, automation, or AI-enabled systems.

 

This accreditation verifies that a specific training program is professionally structured and aligned with IBAI standards for ethical delivery, responsible AI use, transparency, and measurable learning outcomes, providing learners, employers, and stakeholders with confidence in the credibility of the program.

IBAI-ATP Submission Bundle

Your application includes access to the IBAI-ATP Submission Bundle, which contains everything required to prepare and submit your accreditation in accordance with IBAI standards.

  • Submission requirements for all IBAI accreditation pathways

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following:

  • Hold an active IBAI-ATP Trainer or IBAI-ATP Organization accreditation

  • Submit a specific program for review

  • Provide a structured learning experience with defined objectives and outcomes

  • Agree to IBAI Codes of Ethics, Governance Standards, and Accreditation Handbook

Program accreditation applies only to the submitted course or certification.

 

What IBAI Reviews

IBAI reviews the training program itself, including:

  • Program structure and sequencing

  • Defined learning objectives and measurable outcomes

  • Ethical and responsible AI positioning

  • Transparency in what participants receive

IBAI does not evaluate teaching style, personal opinions, or marketing performance.

 

What You Submit

Applicants submit program-specific documentation only, including:

  • Program title and description

  • Learning objectives and measurable outcomes

  • Curriculum outline (modules, sessions, or lessons)

  • Delivery format (online, in-person, or hybrid)

  • Assessment or completion criteria

  • Responsible AI use explanation (if applicable)

 

Training Duration, Categories & Accreditation

IBAI accreditation applies to workshops, courses, events, and training programs across the following instructional categories. Each category is reviewed and priced separately based on scope and duration: 

  • Micro Program Accreditation (1–6 instructional hours) 
    Designed for focused courses, programs, intensives, and standalone training sessions. 

  • Standard Program Accreditation (6–12 instructional hours) 
    Designed for comprehensive programs, multi-session trainings, and structured educational offerings. 

  • Programs Exceeding 12 Instructional Hours 
    Training programs exceeding 12 hours fall outside standard accreditation categories and require direct contact with IBAI for scope assessment and a customized accreditation consultation prior to submission. 

 

Applicants should select the accreditation type that best reflects the scope and duration of the program being submitted.

Important Terms

  • Accreditation applies only to the specific program submitted

  • Submissions must be completed within 30 days of application fee payment

  • Review timeframe: 10–15 business days

  • No refunds, all application fees are final

 

Accreditation Duration & Renewal

Due to the rapid pace of change in artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies, IBAI accreditations are valid for a twelve (12) month period from the date of approval.

 

To maintain accreditation and remain in good standing, accredited entities and individuals may renew annually by:

  • Paying the IBAI annual renewal fee of $125, and

  • Completing the required IBAI annual online renewal training(s)

 

This annual renewal ensures continued alignment with current ethical standards, governance expectations, and responsible AI practices. Renewal instructions and access to required training will be provided prior to accreditation expiration.
