ICAIC Short Course / Workshop Accreditation

Short Courses, Workshops & Micro-Trainings

(for Accredited Trainers & Institutions only)

Not every professional learning experience needs to be a full certification, but it still needs to be responsible, credible, and clearly positioned.  You must have already been approved for Trainer or Institute accrediation PRIOR to submitting programs.

ICAIC Short Course / Workshop Accreditation is designed for standalone or limited-duration educational offerings that reference or involve artificial intelligence, automation, or AI-enabled systems. This includes workshops, intensives, masterclasses, and focused training sessions.

This accreditation verifies that a specific short course or workshop aligns with ICAIC and globally recognized standards for ethical delivery, responsible AI representation, transparency, and clearly defined learning outcomes, helping participants, employers, and partners trust the value of the learning experience.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following:

  • Hold an active ICAIC-ATP Trainer or ICAIC-ATP Institute/Organization accreditation

  • Submit a specific short course or workshop for review

  • Provide a clearly defined educational focus

  • Agree to ICAIC Codes of Ethics, Governance Standards, and Accreditation Handbook

Short Course accreditation applies only to the submitted offering.

What ICAIC Reviews

ICAIC reviews the short course or workshop itself, including:

  • Defined topic and instructional scope

  • Learning objectives and intended outcomes

  • Ethical and responsible AI positioning

  • Transparency in what participants receive

ICAIC does not evaluate teaching style, delivery performance, or marketing claims.

What You Submit

Applicants submit offering-specific information only, including:

  • Course or workshop title and description

  • Learning objectives and expected measurable outcomes

  • Session outline or agenda

  • Delivery format (live, virtual, or hybrid)

  • Responsible AI use explanation (if applicable)

Do not submit full curricula, unrelated programs, or materials outside the specific short course.

What Qualifies as a Short Course

A Short Course / Workshop generally meets the following criteria:

  • Single session or limited series

  • May qualify for CPD credits where applicable

Programs exceeding this scope should be submitted under Full Training Program / Certification Accreditation.

To maintain accreditation and remain in good standing, accredited entities and individuals may renew annually by:

  • Paying the ICAIC annual renewal fee of $125, and

  • Completing the required ICAIC annual online renewal training(s)

This annual renewal ensures continued alignment with current ethical standards, governance expectations, and responsible AI practices.  Renewal instructions and access to required training will be provided prior to accreditation expiration.
